Stratamed is an advanced, transparent, and semi-occlusive film-forming wound dressing used after surgery, full field procedures (i.e. ablative laser) or on deeper wounds. Stratamed has been developed with a special consistency to ensure that it remains in stronger contact with the wound bed or damaged surface.

  • Dries to form a thin and flexible protective film which remains in constant contact with damaged skin
  • Reduces downtime by creating an optimal environment for faster wound healing
  • Protects compromised skin from microbial invasion and does not promote bacterial growth
  • Provides symptomatic relief from itching, burning and discomfort, as well as reduces redness and swelling

Stratamed is indicated to be used immediately after a surgical or cosmetic procedure, on open wounds or compromised skin:

  • Post full-field ablative resurfacing
  • On a sutured wound
  • On a deeper wound
  • Post intermediate and deep peel

Directions for use: Apply once daily, or twice daily to exposed areas or as advised by your physician. For best results, Stratamed should maintain continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day/7 days a week).

    • Step 1: Ensure that the affected skin or superficial wound is clean. Gently pat dry as much excess exudate or wound fluid from the area as possible prior to application.
    • Step 2: Apply a very thin layer of Stratamed directly to the affected area
    • Step 3A: Allow the gel to dry. When applied correctly, Stratamed should be dry in 5-6 minutes.
    • Step 3B: Cover with secondary dressing. Apply a thin layer then cover with a secondary dressing. Drying is not necessary.
    • Step 4: Once dry, Stratamed can be covered with clothes, sunscreen or cosmetics.
