KEY INGREDIENTS
HYDROXYPINACALONE RETINOATE / ESTER OF TRETINOIN (VITAMIN A), 0.2% (Equivalent to 0.05% Retinoic acid)
This ester of Retinoic acid (Tretinoin) is more eective and less irritating than traditional esters. A co-factor of collagen synthesis and a powerful antioxidant, this ingredient helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
TETRAHEXYLDECYL ASCROBATE / ESTER OF VITAMIN C (VITAMIN C), 7%
(Equivalent to 21% L-Ascorbic acid)
An antioxidant and free radical scavenger. Lightens skin by inhibiting melanin synthesis. A necessary co-factor for healthy collagen synthesis, inhibits MMP enzymes. THD Ascorbate is an extremely stable and bio-available form of vitamin C which helps brighten skin and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
TOCOPHERYL ACETATE (VITAMIN E), 3%
One of the most potent antioxidants, particularly good at defending against and disabling free radicals made by the body. This ingredient is essential to tissue repair, works synergistically with vitamin C, and helps fight free radicals and environmental stressors that can lead to premature aging.
FERULIC ACID (FERULOYL SOY GLYCERIDES), 0.5%
This potent antioxidant, found in plants, increases stability of vitamin C and E as well as adding photo-protection. This ingredient also provides additional protection against thymine dimmer formation.
MYRISTYL NICOTINATE (VITAMIN B3), 1%
This oil-soluble ingredient eectively penetrates the skin’s lipid barrier to deliver niacin (a derivative of nicotinic acid, a form of vitamin B3). This ingredient reduces flushing that can occur when using pure nicotinic acid. Myristyl nicotinate enhances epidermal dierentiation, improves skin barrier function, and potentially helps improve the eects of actinic skin damage and other barrier impairments. This form of vitamin B3 has been shown to be more stable than alternatives and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkes by promoting skin cell turnover and collagen production.
CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID, 0.5%
Derived from a combination of salicylic acid and caprylic acid (which is a type of fatty acid) this ingredient is oilsoluble and provides improved penetration with less drying. Capryloyl salicylic acid aids exfoliation by weakening the links between cells in the outer layer of dead skin, allowing the normal shedding process to occur at a more optimum rate. By helping new cells surface, it improves skin texture, unclogs pores, enhances penetration (and therefore
eectiveness) of ingredients such as vitamin C.
SQUALANE
Used in the synthesis of natural skin sterols essential for maintaining skin barrier function, Squalane, derived from olives, is a biological component of human sebum and is therefore very skin friendly. It is an excellent moisturizer that does not leave a heavy, greasy residue on the skin.
BISABOLOL
Found as a natural component of chamomile, Bisabolol is an eective anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory ingredient, helpful in soothing red, irritated skin.
STEARIC ACID (FATTY ACID)
A fatty acid used as an emollient and emulsifier and one of three ingredients that comprise the skin’s natural lipid barrier.
RAPESEED (BRASSICA CAMPESTRIS STEROLS) (CHOLESTEROL)
